Kante wanted in Spain: Barcelona are considering a move to sign N’Golo Kante from Al-Ittihad. The Saudi club is unlikely to be open to selling the midfielder, though, after already rejecting West Ham’s £20-million bid. (Sport)

Brighton, Miami in talks: Brighton & Hove Albion have held “positive talks” with Inter Miami about signing midfielder Diego Gomez. The 21-year-old is expected to cost an initial £12 million. (Sky Sports)
